The goal of the workshop is for participants to gain an understanding of how the IFS model provides the language and resources to help mixed-status couples heal the pre and post-migratory trauma. Through the use of case studies, the workshop will address the highly stressful and potentially traumatic experiences that immigrants undergo at different stages of the migration process, and IFS interventions that support the process of healing for the couple. Approved for 3 CE Credits.

Family estrangement is extremely widespread. This will be a a deep dive into this phenomenon and look at the genogram of a family in order to deepen our understanding of the clinical material and examine the personal, relational, inter-generational, and multi-cultural aspects of this phenomena.
