The Challenges of Working with Mixed-Status Immigrant Couples: Using IFS and Relational Approaches

The goal of the workshop is for participants to gain an understanding of how the IFS model provides the language and resources to help mixed-status couples heal the pre and post-migratory trauma. Through the use of case studies, the workshop will address the highly stressful and potentially traumatic experiences that immigrants undergo at different stages of the migration process, and IFS interventions that support the process of healing for the couple.
