About the Presenter:
Marissa Sappho is the Co-Founder & Director of Clinical Services at Aurora Center NYC, specializing in yoga-based treatment for Binge Eating Disorder. She manages a full-time patient caseload and teaches as an Adjunct Professor at NYU and Faculty at the Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia (CSAB). A co-founder and former President of the New York State Coalition of Social Workers, Marissa's diverse clinical experience spans inpatient and outpatient settings, supervision, and program development. She is a prolific presenter and writer on topics like eating disorders and
social work advocacy. Currently, Marissa is developing innovative treatment models, researching binge eating symbolism, and studying social media's impact on intimate relationships in emerging adulthood.
