Join us for an immersive and experiential workshop that explores the powerful role somatic practices play in healing from eating disorders. Facilitated by Anastasia Nevins, whose approach is rooted in intuitive eating and a holistic, compassionate understanding of recovery, this session prioritizes coming home to the body and soul through somatic and yoga-inspired practices.

Key Takeaways:

  • Understand the Importance of Somatic Approaches: Learn how reconnecting with the body can promote healing from disordered eating patterns and trauma.
  • Observe Nervous System States in Real Time: Identify how trauma impacts our nervous system and affects our ability to eat and nourish ourselves.
  • Mindfulness and Self-Awareness for Embodiment: Explore techniques for fostering mindfulness, self-awareness, and body connection in yourself and your clients.
  • Utilize Somatic Practices in Client Sessions: Gain practical tools for integrating somatic approaches during therapy to support clients in their healing journey.

This workshop emphasizes experiential learning, with opportunities for lecture, discussion, meditation, and gentle movement. Participants will be invited to engage deeply with these practices, observe their impact on their own body, and learn how to better support their clients’ recovery using trauma-informed, body-centered techniques.
