The Family and Couples Treatment Service, a division of the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy, was originally created to meet the needs of a growing number of couples and families seeking psychotherapy. Our philosophy is based on the recognition that human development is best understood within the context of family relationships – past and present.
We therefore approach difficulties in living through a consideration of the family life cycle, specifically how families negotiate their way through various transitions. FACTS is a treatment and educational resource committed to helping people deal effectively with the challenges of family and couples relationships. We view family therapy as a two-fold process that explores recurring interpersonal patterns and helps find active solutions to difficulties in relationships.

We offer family and couples therapy at a moderate cost and respond promptly to requests for help. At an initial interview, you and an intake worker will discuss selection of a therapist, treatment planning, and fees. Fees are set on a sliding scale based on income and many insurance plans are accepted. Our clinicians appreciate the role of cultural differences in mental health treatment and we strive to cultivate a culturally sensitive treatment atmosphere.
