DESCRIPTION:BOOK LAUNCH\nThursday\, November 5th\, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM\n📍ICP\, 33 West 60th St\, 4th Floor\, New York\nRSVP HERE\nJoin us as we celebrate the release of Johanna Dobrich's new book: Moving from Grievance to Hope in Psychoanalysis - Applied Case Studies\n \nJohanna will introduce the volume and read a few brief excerpts\, followed by reflections from contributors Alex Beznes\, LCSW\, Nina Cerfolio\, MD\, Karen Hopenwasser\, MD\, Tracy Sidesinger\, PsyD\, and Ruth Wyatt\, LCSW-R\, on their chapters\, then open the evening to Q&A and discussion. \nWine and lite bites will be served! \nThere is no charge to attend. \nLimited signed copies of the book will be available for purchase. \nIf you would like to make a donation to ICP in honor of Johanna Dobrich you may do so here. \n \nJohanna Dobrich\, LCSW-R\, is a psychoanalyst\, author\, and educator based in New York City. She has been engaged in psychoanalytic education and training at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy (ICP)\, the New York Institute for Psychoanalysis (NIP)\, and the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center (PPSC)\, teaching\, supervising candidates\, and contributing to curriculum and educational programming. At ICP\, she serves in an advisory role to the Board. She also teaches in MIP’s Program in Trauma Studies.  Her clinical\, scholarly\, and teaching interests focus on trauma\, dissociation\, and relational psychoanalysis\, with particular attention to the ways individual experience is shaped by interpersonal and collective realities. She is the author of the award-winning Working with Survivor Siblings in Psychoanalysis\, which explores sibling loss\, disability\, and psychic survivorship\, and editor of Moving from Grievance to Hope in Psychoanalysis: Applied Case Studies\, which examines how psychoanalytic thinking and practice can contribute to social and collective healing.
