Yet few clinical approaches adequately address the physical and emotional complexities at this intersection. \nThis presentation introduces a patient-centered\, empowerment-based framework for treating individuals living with both PCOS and disordered eating. We are happy to offer a reduced rate when needed to ensure accessibility. \n\n\n\nWhat You’ll Learn\n\nIn this workshop\, you’ll learn how to: \n\nIdentify when irregular periods stem from hormonal\, rather than nutritional\, causes in the context of eating disorders\nUnderstand the diagnostic criteria for PCOS and how to interpret them in complex presentations\nExplain how the cholesterol pathway influences hormonal balance in PCOS\nApply a patient-centered empowerment approach\, integrating nutrition\, movement\, stress management\, supplements\, and medication\, for clients with co-occurring eating disorders and PCOS\n\n\n\n\nPresenters\n\n\n\nLaura Cipullo\, RD\, CDCES\, CEDS\, RYT\n\nis a four-time author with over 25 years of experience as an RD specializing in the prevention and treatment of eating disorders.\nLaura integrates her expertise as a CDCES and CEDS to advance care for women with endocrine complexities including PCOS\, menopause\, and breast cancer. \n\n  \n\n\n\nShannon Herbert\, PhD\, RD\, CDN\, RYT\n\nis a registered dietitian and yoga instructor specializing in eating disorders and women’s hormonal health.\nShe is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Food Studies at NYU and completed her PhD in Clinical Nutrition researching lifestyle management of PCOS. \n  \n  \n\nDoris Pastore\, MD\, CEDS\n\nis an Adolescent–Young Adult Medicine physician specializing in complex medical conditions and eating disorders\,\nwith a focus on pubertal\, hormonal\, and nutritional influences across treatment. \n\n\n\n  \n  \n  \n\n\nContinuing Education Credits\n\n\nAn important note about CEs: ICP is an approved provider of continuing education credits for social workers\,\nmental health counselors\, marriage and family therapists\, creative arts therapists\, psychologists and psychoanalysts\nthrough the New York Department of Education.\nIf your license is from a different state\, please contact your state’s licensing board to find out if they will accept CE credits for New York State.\nIf your license is from another state\, please enter your license number with your state in parenthesis\, ie 54321 (CA).\nCE certificates will be emailed to you.
