Application Process

This Program is open to qualified mental health professionals who wish to expand their knowledge in the treatment of eating disorders. Applicants are required to fill out CSAB’s application which you can find here:

A personal interview, as well as two references from previous supervisors is required. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Please note that there is a $75 application, payable online here.

Program Requirements

A certificate of completion of CSAB’s Two Year Training Program is given when candidates fulfill the following requirements:

a. Completion of all required courses in the two year program. Classes and group supervision are schedule from 5:30- 9 PM every Monday from September through June. Group supervision occurs from September through July.

b. Individual supervision one time a week for 44 weeks/year.

c. Completion of at least 120 clinical hours (Note: Trainees are required to offer three hours per week during which they are available to see clinic clients. One hour must be either in the evening after 5:00pm or on a Saturday. Trainees may also use private clients to fulfill the requirements of the training program pending approval from the Director of Training and their individual supervisor.)

d. Weekly individual therapy is also required.

Candidates have access to a wide range of webinars, workshops and conferences offered by each of the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy’s divisions.

Tuition

Tuition for CSAB’s two-year program for the 2022-2023 academic year is $3,425. Group supervision is included in this amount.

Weekly individual supervision is $50/session and is not included in the tuition fee.

Those who are interested in taking individual courses at CSAB can do so for $1,100/course. There are prerequisite courses for the more advanced courses. Contact our Program Manager, Emily Stainkamp, MA, at csab@icpnyc.org for more information.
