Audre Lorde Project

The Audre Lorde Project is a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Two Spirit, Trans and Gender Non Conforming People of Color center for community organizing, focusing on the New York City area. Through mobilization, education and capacity-building, we work for community wellness and progressive social and economic justice. Committed to struggling across differences, we seek to responsibly reflect, represent and serve our various communities.

Community Kinship Life

The mission of CK Life is to provide the Trans community with the tools needed to achieve their personal goals while having a sense of COMMUNITY and KINSHIP. This includes providing useful information that will help people who are looking to lead the most productive life during and after transition with regards to health, employment and day to day social interactions. They offer primary medical care, STI/HIV testing, support groups, and hormone therapy.

Destination Tomorrow

Destination Tomorrow is a grassroots agency located in the South Bronx that provides services to and for the LGBTQ community. Destination Tomorrow has comprehensive programs and services both in house and referral based.   They also offer capacity building to agencies who wish to work with LGBTQ communities but lack the cultural competency and expertise.

Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE)

SAGE is the country’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) older adults.  SAGE offers supportive services and consumer resources for LGBT older adults and their caregivers, advocates for public policy changes that address the needs of LGBT older people, and provides training for aging providers and LGBT organizations, largely through its National Resource Center on LGBT Aging.
